![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Bubba's Indy Trip - AAC Guns, PSS and Gander Mtn It was going to be a good trip, at least the way I'd planned it.. The wife and I were going to have lunch at Foco, then wander around town doing various bits of shopping. I needed to meet with a couple of INGO members to do some business, so that was a driving part of the trip. Planned on hitting any shop that I could while I was in the area.. Well, the wife wasn't feeling too well, so we decided instead to save the Foco for another day and just do light food and shop. After lunch at Applebees, I met up with the first INGO member at AAC Guns. AAC was pretty easy to find and had a pretty decent selection of all kinds of things. They had a bunch of long guns and shotguns, a few cases of various kinds of handguns, holsters, ammo, reloading stuff - not bad for a smaller shop.. Of course, I had to notice the Sub2k at their shop, but it was a 9mm.. blast!! They were really nice about letting me look, though.. From there I was headed towards Castleton to meet with another INGO member, so I stopped in Plainfield Shooting Supply. The place was pretty packed full of people - wife asked what all these people do for a living that they can just hang out at a gun store on a Tuesday afternoon Good selection and plenty of friendly folks, but I didn't see anything I couldn't live without, so on I went..After meeting up at Castleton to do a trade (boy, did that make the security lady nervous, in her little electric car dealy) the wife decided to hit JoAnn Fabrics, which got me to Gander Mountain.. First I looked at boots, as I need a new pair of them. They only had one pair and I didn't like how they fit. Ugh. Then, as I'm weaving towards the guns and ammo, the wife finds a clearance rack with some nice stuff for her.. disgruntled, I keep walking. Ammo was rediciulously expensive, and they didn't have any guns I was interested in at all! It wasn't a wasted trip - wifey DID get a nice jean jacket out of the trip, but I was kinda disappointed that my trip to town didn't net me any suprise sweet deals.. |
