Taking cost of shooting out of the mix...
I own all 3 rifles. If I had to say which one was the most unique, I would say it's the SCAR 17s. The MR556A1 is a beautifully made rifle, almost a true work of art. But in the end it's just another gussied up AR15.
The SCAR 16 is another neat rifle that is light weight, easy to completely strip including the removal of the barrel, and is a great shooter. I would put it in second place.
There's nothing functionally wrong with the MR556A1. But in the end it's just another AR15 that's too pretty to bang up... because it's a $2500 AR15 in a world of $1000 AR's.
I would have that bastard flogged. Buying the rifle you were looking at? That should be illegal!I'll try to see if Blythes can get another SCAR 17, someone bought one I was looking at .
Will you be selling your MR556 anytime soon?
Do you own your first ar yet?
If not, you may consider starting with the basics in a rifle and take some training with the extra money.
I agree !!!!!if you have the money, in my opinion its a no brainer to go with the HK
