Ok ingoers, I'm posting this for a friend. Remember, I am not an AK guy and really don't know much about them.
He has an AK that keeps breaking firing pins. He says that he'll put in a new firing pin, it'll fire a few rounds, and then it'll break again.
My first thought was that the pin was too long, but like I said, I am not an ak guy.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I found this response on another forum....

Compare it to the broken one, you may need to file the head of the pin also as it may be too long and the reason it broke in the first place. All AK pin lengths are not the same and need to be fitted to each bolt. I had to take one down almost a 3/16"...a full 1/8" on head and about a 1/4" on the hammer side!
