Cwood is a drug dealer.
After doing some initial reading on the .300BLK I was eager to actually shoot one at this year's NFA Day. Cwood of Indiana Supply Depot was kind enough to bring a couple of uppers with him.

Now I'm *almost* hooked.
Basically you have an AR-15 in 5.56 that, with a simple barrel change, can now shoot .300BLK, giving you 30cal ballistics in a 5.56 package. Same bolt carrier group, same magazines, same capacity, same upper, same lower. Only now, rather than a 55gr projectile, you are sending 220gr projectiles that suppress like a 9mm.
Sounds too good to be true, right?
The only thing that needs to catch up is ammo supply and support. It is easier if you roll your own, but factory stuff is still pretty rare and pricey. If support grows for this caliber, I will definitely need a short .300BLK upper.
So if you are reading this thread, please get on this bandwagon with me so we can drive ammo prices down together.
