Picked this Husqvarna M38 up here on INGO a couple of weeks ago. Now normally I'm not one that would modify a milsurp rifle (like drilling and tapping for a scope mount), but since this one already had it done, I am happily embracing it. The Swedes are known for their accuracy (the long M96 rifles moreso than the M38 short rifles), and I always though it would be nice to scope one. I switched out the inexpensive scope that was on it for a Vortex that I had on another rifle (that I will now need to replace :)), added the flash hider and did a little cleanup on the stock, but that's it. It's a great little shooter and now I can't wait to try it out with the better optic.

The guy did a nice job turning down the bolt handle.

I have another M38 and it has the turned down bolt too. On the scoped one, it looks like it may have had some material removed from the stem of the bolt handle. Maybe that was all it needed to get enough clearance for the scope?
