My 50th birthday is almost here. I think it's time to scope my deer rifle. I have a Redfield 2-7x34 for my 44mag cowboy rifle. Any suggestions for mounts and rings?

Sighted in the rifle last evening. Very pleased. I won't have to pass on those 100 yard shots anymore. I went with the Weaver base and the Burris Z rings. Thanks INGO! :rockwoot:

What's the eye relief on that scope (it looks a bit too rearward to me)?

Yeah, I thought the same thing, but that's where it was most comfortable. And it's not close to busting me in the eyeball. I had it set farther forward, but kept moving my head way too far forward to get a full sight picture. I kept pulling the scope back before fully tightening until I got it where it was right for me. I'm not sure why "right for me" is so far back. :dunno: But I put about 20 rounds or so through it, and really had fun blowing up cans at 100 yards. :D
