    My Surefire flash-hider came with "Rocksett" or similar and the internet says it has 5/8-24 muzzle threads. They appear to be "Normal" RH threads to me, but you should check the internet for your particular gun/barrel.

    Another thing to consider is if it's pinned on. I had a Bushmaster that I was trying to get the brake off of and it was blind pinned.

    7.62 x Avtomat Kalashnikova are left hand threads. To loosen turn the wrong way. If you are talking about one of the other 7.62 variants, your luck may vary.

    I'm guessing it's new enough to be post ban. MOST (take with a grain of salt) of those use a 1/2x28 right hand thread. I've seen flash hiders get stuck so tight they have to be cut off too, so be careful.
