    This will serve 3 functions:
    1. Good American fun on the range.
    2. We have a couple coyotes around that will meet their maker.
    3. To protect my family if SHTF.

I figured now was as good of time as any to make this purchase. Who knows what will happen in the next 6 months. A local shop I have never visited had a M&P15 sport I inquired about over phone. When I went in to look, this bad boy was there... last one on sale. It was $10 cheaper than the sport but had a forward assist and dust guard. Not that big of a deal, but worth it. With the firearm, 2 extra 30 round PMAGs, and 40 rounds of 5.56 I was out the door for $670 + a free month of range.

These were $9.99 per. Guess I should have gotten more!

The range time will also be spent renting pistols for my wife to try on for carry duty.

I talked my dad into an AR, being a ruger man he purchased the very same model. His needed a little trigger work, his had a good 10.5lb pull out of the box. After that was he loves it.
