Taking my first steps into the 308 AR game.....

After almost a year of discussion and thought I have decided to get into the 308 game. I decided on a DI style rifle, with thoughts towards DPMS, S&W, Anderson, Windham, and even a Bushmaster. I have watched a few different models on the used market and saw that they are going for almost new pricing. So I decided to just get a new rifle. I narrowed to down to the S&W, DPMS, and Windham. Well this morning I decided my first choice would be the Windham SRC 308. Does anyone have first hand experience with this particular rifle? I own a Windham HBC AR15 and I am very impressed with the performance it has shown me out of the box. 1300 rounds and counting with no malfunctions, the first 120 rounds without lube, and it never skipped a beat. Thoughts? Suggestions?
