    Southeast of disorder.
In addition to the horrible case of Garanditis I have, I now have contracted the dreaded Black Rifle Disease. I just ordered an LMT Defender lower. An SBR M4 is in my near future!

Just be careful not to get Olafson Syndrome. It's a pain in the butt that not even Preparation H will soothe.

If you want a m4 (14.5"), save yourself the $200 and buy a m4 barrel with a permanently pinned phantom. Cheaper with ALOT less wait time.

Just curious....whats a basic M4 cost? And how much if at all is it cheaper if I purchase the upper/lower separately etc?

    Yes I'm still a newb :n00b:

If you're just doing the 14", I would also suggest just getting the Perm attached FH to get the legal length. IMO its not worth it for that little, but really its all what you want anyway :)

I'm actually gonna get a couple of uppers for it. The standard 14.5" and a 10.5".

    Then maybe a can, then maybe a 203, then probably a divorce.:D
    Eh, **** happens. :):

It's like they always say. You can live in your car, but you can't drive your house.

Well, I've got an RV so I can sort of drive my house:):

It's always good to know I've got a place to go if my wife finds out how much my favorite hobby costs:n00b:

I plan on building a pistol soon. hopefully a full made upper in 7-7.5" on a spikes lower. SHTF I can throw on a different buffertube + stock for close combat fighting. SHTF NFA won't matter. But until then gotta keep legal. I can't justify 200$ to have a short barrel ar-15 until I got money flowing in.
