ar10 lower that accepts g3 mags?

    so upon soe further research ive found that the g3 mags do not hold the bolt open after the last round like a normal ar mag. im thinking this is a deal breaker for me. im not to concerned with the mill work on the upper, but alot of folks are saying relibility is a issue. that combined with holding the bolt open is probably enough to sway me. mags are a one time pruchase. unreliability is a life time deal.

    I agree. These rifles are rarely cheap. And if you are getting one it WILL NOT be cheap. Especially after you put a scope on it. Make sure you get what you want, you'll end up getting it in the end anyway.

    AR 10 mags are still available for $30 a piece. They've been a couple bucks cheaper on occasion.
    Not sure why the cost of mags is a big issue when you consider ammo to fill that mag is going to cost almost as much.

    Perhaps one day, the US Government will adopt a 308 AR which will then become standardized, but I wouldn't count on it.
