OK, It appears my extractor spring is shot, and so are my rings.

I am going to purchase the following parts

I need to know the best possible gas rings, or one piece gas ring for the ar-15 bolt. I need some reliability out of this turd

I'm betting the extractor spring is just the incorrect type; DPMS puts 4-coil rifle extractor springs and blue inserts into *all* their bolts, as opposed to using the 5-coil springs with black inserts that are designed for the shorter-barreled guns.

Gas rings were probably bad from the get-go; remember these are a lowest-bidder subcontracted part. I've also seen brand-new extractors that had *no* edge on them whatsoever. Sh*t happens.

Dead on it! I've lost count of how many bolt assemblies from some of the "popular" manufacturers come out of the box fubar.
Keep gas rings, extractors, extractor springs, ejectors and ejector springs on hand. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a firing pin or 2 on hand as well. Bravo Company products are top shelf, so if you can grab supplies from them you will be VERY happy!

I'm coming to realize this the more I look and research, I'm going to order 2 of every spring in the gun, they are so cheap why not I am just trying to narrow it down to what part is the best for each purpose.

+1. Well worth the money; I've corrected many a carbine's reliability problems just by plopping in an XP extractor spring, black insert and O-ring (which by all rights they should've had from the beginning). Spare gas rings and extractor are always nice to have, too.
