Just got back from shooting and sure was a blast!

And just a FYI, anyone in the Bloomington area needing 7.62x54r you can get 20ct boxes for about $6.00 at Traildust, I'm going to guess he's got about 20-30 boxes left on the shelf.

Have some friends with some land in Greene county, they invited me over to shoot some. They loved the gun and are seriously thinking about going and getting one or two themselves!

I just refinished the stock on my M38 this week. It looks a whole lot better than it did before. I sanded the old finish off, which was really gummy and looked like crap. I put a dark brown stain on and a couple of coats of polyurethane. It still looks like an old military rifle, but not a crappy old military rifle. I'll try to post a photo soon. The nice thing about doing a refinish was that it highlighted the arsenal stampings in the wood.
