Got my VTAC sling in the mail today from Brownells. For postal shipping it was pretty quick, but what's up with the Indiana Tax (and Iowa only)? Do they have a warehouse here?

After much saving and searching for the right parts, I finally bought an AR. DPMS upper, RRA LAR-15 lower with RRA parts kit. I got the upper and LPK from Law Enforcement Firearms, and the stripped lower from Michiana. I don't have a rear sight yet, but I just ordered a UTG one from MidwayUSA. I went with the A2 stock because even fully extended I think collapsible stocks are too short for me.

Assembling the lower wasn't bad. I didn't lose the front pivot pin detent or spring. I boogered up the bolt catch roll pin and the butt stock screw, but I have replacements on the way from Midway with the sight. As soon as the parts come in I will be sighting it in.

It's a Superior Arms lower with a Stag Arms lower parts kit.
The barrel is a 1/9 Bushmaster Superlite.
The A1 upper is a Colt from a m16 teardown I got at a gun show.
4 position stock is a Model 1, and the pistol grip is a used m16A1 grip.

I refinished it with Norrell's dark grey, to match all the different components.

Here is my Colt 6920. I had the acog rcom4 on it, but I sold it and went back to Iron sights. KAS and VFG And a 2 point VTAC sling. It was my second AR, but is the one I took to the Boone County armorer's class with me... now that I have it dialed in, it's dead on!
