   | Is a Mag Clamp Really Necessary? On a pump gun with a steel mag extension, is the clamp really necessary? I'm not talking necessary to facilitate the use of a sling or anything like that, but only if it is absolutely necessary as part of the overall installation. I have Coate +2 extensions and I don't use the mag clamp. The extensions are very solid in their own right. What's the concensus on this?
