SKS sporter going Tacticool

I have decided to redo my SKS sporter. I am going the Tacticool route. I placed a $250+ order today on parts for this. I hope this turns out as cool as I picture it in my head. Here are pics of what I am starting with. I'm sure most of you have seen it in the forsale section in the past.

You'll like the Tapco Stock. What else you putting on? My guess as a fellow Tacticool SKS owner is that a scope mount and an optic of some sort is also in the works, as well as maybe a bipod?

Here are some of the things that are being added.

Leapers accushot T169

Gen 2 SKS SOCOM Universal
Picatinny Tri-Rail System Mount

Tapco Intrafuse stock in black

Along with a few other things.
It should all be here on Wednesday. Pics to come.

Cool. I ran a similar scope on mine for a while. I also ran the tri-rail hand guard. Gave it a SOCOM 16 look. I never did mount anything on it though.

A bit of advice on teh scope...the included mount will put it pretty high for a good cheek weld depending on what you use to mount it. For most of the reciever cover mounts, it will be too high. I would either get a stock saddle cheek piece, or look at a set of 30mm rings to mount the scope directly to the reciever cover.

Another alternative would be the Scout Mount, which replaces the rear sight leaf. Only downside of this is that the eye relief may be incorrect.

I made a custom mount for mine back in the day, but have since sold it and gone with a different style mount. Here's a pic.

Looking forward to pics of yours when it is done!

You are going to have to do some modification to the Tapco stock to get it to fix your Norinco. Looks like you have a Model M. The magazine well is wider than a normal SKS, so you will probably have to file down the well on the stock to get it to work. My dad had a M, and a regular SKS stock wouldn't fit on it without modification. How does it shoot? The one we had was terrible, but no feeding problems. It ate everything that it was fed. Hope you get your parts sooooon, so you can enjoy your "new" gun

Tapco says this stock fits the M model. Mine is actually a model NR. I am prepaired to do some work to make these thing fit. I know the UTG rails don't fit on a sporter, but I will see what I can do. It shoots great and I have never had any issues with it.
