What is this firearm

OK, I'm cleaning out my closet and gathering what firearms I have. Sold one today already. I also have this rifle and I don't know what it is. It has what looks like a small British or English Crown stamped on the head of the barrel with small numbers (I think 326) It has a small clip that holds ten round and I believe it takes .303 cal ammunition. Pics are below. Any ideas.

That appears to be a sporterized SMLE rifle. I can't tell whak "mark" it used to be though. Someone more knowledgeable should be along soon.

Number 4 mark I or II can't tell from the angle. Enfield 303. I need another one.

I have seen a couple for sale on here one i think was $200 the other $400 ?

haveing the stock cut like that could take away from the value to a Enfield collector .
And add to someone who is not ....personally i think it looks better cut like it is .
But i am not an enfield collector .

I had many No. 4 Rifles when I had my C&R License. It is worth more in it's orginal state then cut down....even though it looks lots better.

Not a clue.... but it looks neat. It does look like an enfeild style bolt.

A friend gave it to me years ago, wish I would have thought to show it to you today. Guess I got motivated to learn some more after the sale. I've been on the site most of the day. Very addicting.
