![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well I've never fired a .270 lol. Based upon the ballistics, I think the 150gr '06 and .308 would be about the same. Now my AR-10 Carbine - with the 150gr loading - has almost no recoil... but that .308 round is nice and bassy Now keep in mind, after firing military weapons like the 40mm M203 - and even my 3" Magnum 12 gauge 00 loads - pretty much everything is reasonably "light" ![]() |

It's hard not to stop firing with that AR-10 lol. My AR-10 likes almost anything but I usually feed her with Remington UMC .308Win 150gr.Last edited by agentl074; 07-04-2009 at 18:00.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Has anyone scored a reasonably accessible place to shoot the Garand at distances it deserves? Atterbury seems like such a waste of a great weapon after having had limited access to a quarry where we were shooting 350-400yds.

i got my garand on wensday so ive only had it for a few days. i bought some remingtons and shot a few just because i cant finally get one and not shoot it the first day. as far as how it shot them. i was about 150 yds from my target and hit it every time. granted my target was a 150 acre corn field . with the holiday i doubt i get to shoot it this weekend but im hoping to put it on paper next weekend. i can shoot about 200 yds from my front yard when the corn is up.ill probably eventually work up a load that it likes but for now im just playing with it and not taking it to serious
