![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | My Colt AR15, No Suppressor My Black Rifle was produced during the ban, i.e, no suppressor/no lug. It just don't look right without the suppressor. I was lucky that my wife let me buy it in the first place, she would never go along with the expense having it professionally done (threading the barrel). Any of you guys know of a clamp on worth a darn? I have never even shot it, my young grandson takes care of that for me. But I had to have it when I thought they might go away forever... Thanks |

The barrel needs to be reprofiled at the muzzle so that you get the proper length, depth and thread pitch to match all the muzzle devices that are built for the AR platform. ADCO is your best option, and is fairly inexpensive. And, if you plan to ever run a silencer, I suggest you opt for "precision threading" that way the threads will be concentric to the bore so you won't have to worry about baffle strikes on your expensive silencer. | |
