looking to get a single shot 223 any suggestions and how to expect to get one used? looking to get one cheap. already have a few scopes so just need gun trying to get on rather cheap

do you reload? if so the h&r handirifle in 223 isn't bad, my buddy has one and it shoots good with reloads factory ammo is kinda iffy

There was a nice 223 Handi rifle in the classifieds here yesterday.

I've got one. I like it.

Alright, I've been drinkin all day so I'm probably not seeing straight (hey-it's independence day!), but what the hell are those critters? Look sorta like wet muskrats.

HR handi rifles FTW!!! they are cheap and CRAZY accurate.

The H&R is a great gun. You can beat them to hell and back and they will never quit on you.

If you want something high class, but of the same flavor, look at a TC Encore.

I owned a NEF in .223 for a couple of years and it was spooky accurate too, that was with Winchester factory loads. My buddy I sold it to loves it.

Handi- is the only way to go, there are a couple of sites out there that have all of the little tips on accurizing them, it's mostly basic little things you can do easily. If you get one with a good trigger thats all the better- if not, don't sweat it, a trigger job on one isn't too bad once you make a jig to push the pins out.
I've had all three types of bbls. and you definately want the bull bbl., they were all shooters- but my point of impact shifted alot when the ultra-lite, and sporter profile bbls. got hot.
