![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | RRA Varmint A4 24" Range Report I have been working with loads for about a month and learning how to shoot. Today I took it out and did a couple 10 shot 100yd groups. I plinked around and managed to get out to 500yds on a repeatable basis and one shot out to 600 yds. Here is the scan of my ten shot groups. ![]() I cussed when I let that flier go . I jerked the trigger bad, it makes that group look like crap. Anyhow, its a great gun. Alot of fun to shoot. Round info 80 gn Seirra MatchKing BTHP seated to 2.020 (ogive) about .015 off rifling. Bottom group powder is 22.8 gn of Hodgdon H4895 Top group powder is 23.5 gn of Reloader 15 Rifle Info RRA Varmint A4 in .223 RRA two stage match trigger Cadwell Bipod (POS don't buy it, this reminds me I need to call them and cuss at them) PRS style stock Nikon Monarch III scope

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | About the same really. Sierra recommends a 1:8.2xxx twist for the 80 gn. They seem to shoot well. I have some 69 gn and 75 gn that I see a little bigger groups with, but I haven't put the same amount of time into those loads either.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Oh yeah, COAL is 2.520 ish. Since I am still learning how to shoot, I find the extra time it takes to load each one individually has helped my accuracy a bit. Besides it makes for a nice long day at the range .

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yup, it really seems to like that H4895! Have you messed around with any of the BL-C(2)? My AR's really seem to like that well and being a ball powder it drops almost perfectly everytime from my Uni-flow. Another wonderful powder is Benchmark, I had real good luck out of it with my NEF single shot and Berger 80gr VLDs. Benchmark is still my best choice for my 222 and 223 with light bullets as well.Any who, Nice shooting and keep at it! ![]() ![]()
