     | Benelli MR1... CARBINE Benelli Announces MR1 Carbine in 5.56 NATO : The Tactical Wire  Looks like it's the gun formerly (or otherwise) known as the Beretta RX4 Storm Rifle. From Wikipedia: The Rx4 is the first .223 caliber carbine in Beretta's Storm-family. It is entirely and solely manufactured in the Benelli Armi plant in Urbino, and marked "Beretta" as Benelli is part of the Beretta Holding and owned by Beretta since 1983; nonetheless, in Italy, the Rx4 Storm carbine is inscribed on the National Catalogue of Firearms (the list of firearms approved for civilian ownership by the Italian Ministry of Interior) as the Benelli Mr1. The samples sold in the United States are assembled at the Beretta-USA plant in Accokeek, Maryland with imported parts of Italian manufacture.

| Still interesting. FARcry from what Beretta said they have in a 5.56 carbine (posted on this site, supposedly would not be imported to the US). If they bring this one in, instead of just hanging it out there, then it looks to be a cool rifle!

| Aw, you beat me to it! I'm wicked excited about this one. I've got the CX4 and am pleased as punch. Sure she's not the "prettiest" rifle in the world.....don't care. If its anything like the other stuff Beretta/Benelli puts out, I will love it. I doubt that it will sell for MSRP, what does really... I saw one sight that was allowing pre-orders, saying it would be arriving in November. It even takes M16/AR mags! I WILL be purchasing one. *sits anxiously waiting for november*
