Century Arms

I have heard all of the bad things about them. Has their quality improved over the years? I'd love to own more HK style rifles but I am not willing to pay the HK price for a battlefield weapon.

This is what caught my eye. The C93 sporter. In .223

Hey turnandshoot:

I have a Cetme Sporter that I purchased from a member on INGO... but I have never shot it. The Sporter is .308 and is presently just a safe queen. I don't plan on never shooting her, it just hasn't happened yet.

I know that doesn't help at all, but that never stops me from post whoring!!

How does it feel? Fit and finish? I know you have nice stuff, how does it compare?

My main question is a possible durability issue. I don't mind a firearm that I have to put a little work into if it is a good price. I do mind if it is going to flat out break.

I had a Century metric FAL. It was not as pretty as a DSA obviously, but I paid under $600 new. It was very reliable and never had a single misfire or feeding issue in use. The only problem I had was when trying to shhot with a replacement dust cover/scope mount. I shot the heck out of the thing and it ran great.

I had two centurion 99's aka Federal Arms Corp FA-91'S -G3 clones. Both were great guns (still own one of them). Century has it moments however... I honestly don't know enough about this one to comment on.

799 is a bit high for for a century gun... but considering the obama fact hasn't completely worn off, it's not too bad.
