    |  Marlin 60 lubing info needed I gave a young friend a marlin 60 today for his birthday. We were at the range and we went to shootin' it. I had a severe number of stovepipes; caught casings in the action and Misfeeds. EDIT: it is an OLD Marlin 60, in fact, it's a pre-bolt hold open (lever/handle does not hold the bolt open). Any thoughts. I am right now letting the thing dry out after a good wash down. It looks like the bottom of an oil pan in an old 350 chevy. D I R T Y ! I understand lube where it's shiny; but, how much? Does anyone just put very, very little of something on the bolt contact/friction areas and call it done? I'd really like to give it back to him, HIS birthday present, tomorrow as I tried to give it to him today... argh. Got a specific ammo that yours loves as well?
