New Olympic Arms PP - Small issue

I took the plunge today and bought a new Olympic Arms Plinker Plus. Sorry Britton, I was going to make the drive up your way but living south of Indy thats a drive. I was able to get one new at bradis for 599.00.

I am excited. The gun seems really nice but I did already find an issue. The safety selector appears to be bent. The part you physically flip seems to be bent toward the receiver so it doesn't allow the selector to fully rest on the stop on the receiver for the safe position. The stop it should fit up against has the small ridge then cutout then bigger ridge. Its hitting the small ridge and not making it into the slot.

I called Olympic arms and the young CS rep was kind of a smart butt. I explained I wasn't an AR expert but the selector was bent. He proceeded to tell me policy and that i would need to send back the safety selector for review under warranty. I explained it is a brand new gun and for a 1.00 part from their end he wanted to render me without my gun.

He said basically yes. While I see the policy, remington and ruger have never done me that way. Just irked me.

In any case...is there any place in Indy to buy a new safety selector for the olympic arms? I know they should all work but some stuff i read say thats not always the case.

Do I just need to pop off the grip, make sure to get the spring a detent?
