![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Actually the bayo lug has been cut off the gas block. Otherwise there would also be the hole that the cleaning rod went through in it. Some of the early MAK-90s that were caught in port when Bush the First had a stroke over "evil looking weapons" and the importer just cut the bayo lug off, and tack welded a muzzle nut to the front sight preventing you from easily removing it and installing that baby killing flash hider. They did a great job of grinding off the triangle 66 and the "56S" on the trunion, but just lined out the original importer. Great rifle otherwise, and a trophy in testimony as to how stupid our leadership can be. |

![]() | Some of the early mak 90's retained the threaded barrel and had the bayonet lugs removed. This appears to be what yours is. I think the early mak90's were already here in customs or on the boat during the ban and were remarked and had features removed once they got stateside. It probably had a wood thumbhole stock on it originally. I think I paid $425 for one just like it at the 1500 back in early 08. I sold to a friend who kept harrasing me because he liked it ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | MAK-90s have been selling for around $450 on gunbroker. There are sellers asking more, but those are not selling. Gunbroker is a great place to get ideas about firearm values. I always look for actual sales to see what true values are. High asking prices that don't sell are only the sellers dream as to what an item is worth. Actual selling prices by sellers who list a low enough price to get a bite are more reliable indicators of value. On the plus side is the threaded barrel. On the minus side is the top cover with the scope mount. People like me who prefer original parts don't mind that top cover as long as the original comes with it. As to the stock set, I have seen quite a few MAK-90s with that stock set on them. They were a quick fix before the later Bush-hole stock became available. |
