![]() | .22 needs work...recommendations? I've got a Marlin 60, tube-fed .22LR rifle. Bought it on another forum from an Indiana resident..was told it was in great shape. Sure enough, it goes in the safe, and I wait six months before shooting it. It does shoot just fine...it just has feeding problems. First shell ejects, second round tries to feed but just stovepipes straight up. It's a nice little rifle, and I know they are dirt cheap. Is it worth taking it to a gunsmith to fix it, or should I just destroy it and look to buy another cheap rifle? Ideas? Thoughts? |

![]() | Ya don't destroy it, if you don't want it, let me know. I agree with bwframe, rimfirecentral has alot of info. They is some good people over there. I know with my Dads, he had to take it all apart and clean everything, then it started working again. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | If you come down here, I can teach you how to take it apart and inspect/clean/rebuild it. Its the same guts as my Marlin 98.

![]() | My Model 60 is finicky with ammo... It doesn't really like the hollow point "bulk pack" stuff. Mine, however, doesn't stovepipe them, they jam on the feedramp. Might try another kind of ammo to see if that clears up the issue. -J-
