![]() ![]() | Awesome, i appreciate the advice. To be more clear, this was only shooting at 25 yards because I was unsure whether or not the sight was accurate. Would 4 clicks be enough if it's off almost 2.5" at only 25 yards? |

One inch at 100 yards is 1 MOA. One quarter inch at 25 yards is 1 MOA. (The bullet is moving further from the point of aim as it travels farther away. If you had a target at 25 yards and hit 1/4" left of center and a second target in-line with the first at 100 yards, the bullet would hit that target 1" left of center.) If your group average is off 2.5 inches at 25 yards, that's 10 MOA (2.5 inches divided by 1/4" per MOA). Find out what your scope moves per click. Many are 1/2 or 1/4 MOA. If your scope is 1 MOA per click, then move it UP 10 clicks. If it's 1/2 MOA per click, then move it UP 20 clicks. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok, to put the thread jack to rest: We (Mods) can't stop some folks from circumventing the rules. It happens. However, if they choose to do that, they aren't able to post feedback for those transactions either, so they don't get that benefit. Now: Congrats on the new rifle CV! On the short VFG, keep in mind that it isn't intended to be gripped entirely like you're choking it, but rather as a "hand stop" to pull the rifle back into your shoulder. Most guys that run those have their thumb riding up alongside the rail, pointed at the target. (stolen from bigcraig's FB page) ![]() Welcome to BRD!

![]() ![]() | Sweet looking rifle.. We almost have twins. I've put a couple hundred rounds of .223 through mine without one hiccup - S&W builds a nice rifle. Let us know how that Barska works out. I thought about buying that sight but decided to try the Strikefire instead. Also, what rail sections did you end up purchasing? I have been looking at some to put a VFG on my rifle but I've just not gotten around to buying anything yet. |
