![]() | Picked up a Howa 1500 today My late uncle gave me a Rem 30-06 when I was 14 and long story short with lack of a better word the (man) that made me lost it / sold it. So I have been looking for something to bring back my childhood (the fun parts that is) Picked up this Howa 30-06 1500 Black Synthetic stock Tasco 3x 12x ? have not looked yet Told there were only 6 rounds down the pipe. Looks new. Now the question is are they any good. I want to start long range shooting. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I've been told that Howa uses Weatherby actions ![]() At any rate, I LOVE my new Howa 1500 in .204 Ruger! ![]()

| Sighting In ![]() | Hear good things about them, enjoy your new gun. You might want to look at some better glass than a cheap tasco, you could probably make a nice shooter there. and btw... ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | The Howa 1500 action is made in the same plant as the cheaper Vangaurd series of Weatherby actions. Thier varmint series are excellent shooters. Septic-Tank13 over on ar15.com did a documented build with one with excellent results. |

![]() | I picked up a used stainless Howa 1500 Varmint with a thumbhole stock chambered in 223. That rifle is a SHOOTER. It shoots 50 to 60 gr. bullets sub .5 MOA with good handloads. Bought the rifle for 375. Best deal I have ran into in a long time! I would try another one just to see if that rifle is a fluke. PaPa 260 |
