![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | While reading up on GSG-5 issues, I read that they had problems with screws coming loose. I expected it on the bolt carrier, but not the mags. This applies to both the factory mags and aftermarket ProMags. There are two screws at the top of the mag and two in the floorplate. I have 2 factory mags and 4 ProMags and most of the floorplate screws and a couple of the top screws were loose to almost falling out! Remember that they thread into plastic so don't over do it. Also check the bolt that holds the loading assist in place. I had one mag that thte bolt was completely backed out of it's retaining nut! The others were all slightly loose. I noticed that in either mag the retaining nut was too small for it's locator and I had to use a tiny blade screwdriver to keep it from spinning. Check your mags friends. Having a floorplate unscrew itself could send more rounds to the ground than you are putting down range, not to mention possibly loosing your screws. (ok, cut the loose screw jokes! ) |
