![]() | Beginner rifle for the wife? Ok, I would like to find a good beginner rifle for my wife. She shows alot of interest in shooting and going to the range with me. What would be a good gun for her to start out with? Should I she stay with a .22 or are there any other calibers that would be good for a beginner shooter? the longest distance at the range is 100 yds. Background on her, she has shot before but its been hand guns only, this would be he first rifle. She has short arms, but they have alot of muscle to them. I have a Rem 700 in .308 but I feel it might be a little too much for her as a beginner shooter. I'd like to find a gun for that she can enjoy shooting for a longtime and even modify it a little. Maybe even something I'll enjoy shooting too.
