The Mosin-Nagant. What's the big deal?

Okay, I got into the shooting sports a few years ago. My only experience with the Mosin Nagant is through Call of Duty World at War. From that, I know that the Mosin is a powerful weapon. But, I recently got an email from a gun store that I go to every once in a while, they have them for $100. Why? Why do people like them so much? And, why are the so cheap? Post your pics too. I want to see what the big deal is. Thanks everybody.

A awesome piece of history at an inexpensive price that is built to last forever and fires a round that has been compared to a 30-06. I think their tight, though I don't own one. One is in my future, right when I was gunna get one their prices shot up and I didn't want to spend 150 on one. Now that they are back around 100 im considering it.

They're cheap to own, built like tanks, shoot cheap ammo, and fun. As the old saying goes "Where else can you arm you and five of your friends for $400?" Ok, so we have to adjust the prices a little now. Up until about a year ago, you could get a 91/30 in good condition, still with cosmoline on it for under $70.

cheap but powerful and dependable firearm.cheap ammo.what more could one ask for?i own 5 mosins and have never had an issue with any of them.you show me a gun that shoots a round comparable to a 30-06 for $80 ill buy that all day long.

Plus, you don't know if you guns was used in the wars and how many people it killed.

The power and fireball go hand in hand. It's also cool to get looks at the range from non-owners. Some of the most fun you can have with your clothes on!!!!!!

I've owned a m44, I know have a 91/30. They kick like hell, cheap to shoot, feel nice, all the above mentioned. :-) When finances allow, I'd like to own one of each model.
