![]() | trigger ? on marlin model 336W 30-30 I was cleaning my 30-30 today when I relized that the trigger had a little play in it. It is not side to side play but front to back just like you would use it to fire. I have never noticed this before so I was wondering if anyone else has this same problem? Is this something I should take it to a gunsmith about or is it normal. Thanks |

![]() | It's normal on Marlin LAs. If it bothers you about $120 worth, Wild West Guns has a replacement trigger that eliminates the dreaded "Marlin Trigger Flop" for about $85. Not a drop-in, so the extra dough is for having a 'smith fit it. Personally, it's never been an issue. Some folks seem to get their finger pinched because they don't move it out of the way when the work the lever. IMO, it's a pretty expensive way to fix something that ain't really broken. |

![]() ![]() | Every Marlin does it. Just don't shake it and you'll never notice it. But as said above, WWG guns has a trigger that'll fix it, but is really unnecessary. I had a 336W and although a touch heavy, had a very crisp trigger and was probably one of the better factory rifle triggers I ever felt.
