![]() | I do not really like to put prices in posts as it just leads to everyone saying either "you got screwed" or "they wouldn't sell it to me for that price". I have been dealing with the same gun shop for years and even though sometimes the prices may be slightly higher than other places (sometimes slightly less too) they are close to home and I like to go in and buy from them or just shoot the bull with them. That being said I cannot wait to go to the Appleseed event this weekend and put a bunch of rounds through it. I have around 250 through it so far with no malfunctions what so ever. Now it is all cleaned and ready to go. |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, I also do not understand why some people say to do this. I guess its so it cannot back off at all, but I never really saw the point to it. Grats though, and let us know how she does at Appleseed

See if the shop near you has a web sling and get one if they do. If not, see if the instructors have one you can borrow. Otherwise there is a way to tie up yours to work, but is it cludgy. Your first AR looks so much better than my first AR was! Good thinking and a good buy. I wish I'd had better forethought & listened to my peers, would have saved me mucho dollars later. Say "Hi!" to Hawkhvn at the Appleseed for me and have a good time. Oh, and bring lots of water. And, yes, black rifle addiction is a powerful thing... |

![]() | After reading many posts on AR15.com and M4carbine these were issues with some brands and mine was 1 of them. I read the pros and cons and decided to do it. Seems like a noted issue to me. It is not that big of a deal if I want to remove it. The more expensive brands have this done when you buy them. The gas key is a big deal and does need to be staked correctly on every AR. A web sling?? You mean cotton like is on a SKS? I have one of them I can bring. |
