![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I was also looking, However you are looking at an MSRP of $900. For $100 more you can get a Bushy 9mm carbine with high cap mags. For the price, I personaly do not think they are worth the money.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have a cx4 in .40 and I think its a helluva lotta fun. I got mine less than a year ago for around $650 new. Do check on which types of mags yours accepts. Mine takes Beretta 92 mags, I wanted one that took PX4 mags. I have to order the parts to do a mag well replacement so I can use the same mags in both guns. All the rails cost extra, so that is sort of a pain. If you can get one with some of the extras already added that is a plus. Last edited by Scarnucci; 11-04-2009 at 06:15. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have a 9mm version which I love. I bought it new back when they were in the $600 range. Awesome carbine in my opinion. Very accurate and reliable. I don't think I've ever had a FTF in the 7 years I've had it. I wouldn't trade it for anything. My only complaint is that the Beretta accessories are too expensive. They are very proud of their stuff, but it is high quality. I have a nice stock magazine holder from Desantis which I think is sweet. It is nice because they can use the mags from the 92FS so they are easy to find. The 33 round mags are a must as well because it is so easy to shoot. The gun can get a tight group even by novice shooters who I have taken to the range. I love mine and highly recommend it (if it fits what you are looking for). I guess the Hi-Point carbine is a cheaper alternative. I've heard a lot of good things from those, but haven't shot one myself. I know they make an aftermarket stock that is nearly just like the Beretta...

I got mine through Bud's Guns in Lexington, KY and had it shipped to my FFL here in Indiana. They're right nice carbines! You won't be disappointed, whatever calibre you buy it in. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have one that is boringly accurate. Shooter521 has been with my daughter and myself when we had it out, and can attest to the smile on our faces. I used it once in a steel plate competition and after not missing while firing from some really wierd positions (heck, standing, seated and prone proved too easy) and not missing, I was politely told that I had won and could stop proving why I was smiling so big. Many people had problems with the early ones because they didn't read the owner's manual where it stated to only load the first round by inserting a loaded mag and letting the bolt strip the first one off. The problem was that the 92 pistol was designed to be loaded through the breech in the event the mag was damaged, and has an extractor designed to over ride a chambered round. The CX4 Storm does not have this type of extractor and the results was a broken extractor. Later Storms have improved extractors so that is no longer a problem. Mine is one of the first made, and I the original extractor is still in the carbine after well over 4000 rounds. A little more expensive then most carbines, but it is a Beretta with all the quality of one. They can still be found for under $700, so unless you like AR-15s that only look like AR-15s, I can't see where the value of another $300 is. That should start a good flame war! ![]() |

![]() | Thanks for all the input... I am looking to pickup my first long gun. Not a big fan of the AR platform... just don’t like the looks. But some of the SBR are cool and I do like the Sig 556, but can't put that much in my first rifle... The CX-4 caught my eye..... But any other suggestions; And $700.00 or below that would not need a special license.
