![]() ![]() ![]() | somebody local buy this so I can borrow it! This looks like a really cool gun. The history, feel, look of a Lee Enfield but the shooting expense of a .22! I have never been to MCF&G (none of my firearm calibers are small enough) but I would love to show up with this war horse looking thing and fully expect to have to explain that it is a .22 .LEE-ENFIELD 22 Short Rifle Mk II Naval Trainer : Other at GunBroker.com 22 Short Rifle Mk II (see pages 276-279 & 479 of the new ed. ‘The Lee-Enfield’ by Ian Skennerton) converted from an LSACo. 1901 Lee-Enfield Mk I*. Approved for Naval service only in 1912. Will accept .22 shorts, longs & long rifle .22 ammo. The long-range dial sights are retained. The magazine cut-off plate, bolt dust cover and magazine follower and spring were removed. Spent cartridges fall in hollow clip. The gas vents in the receiver have been enlarged. The back leaf sight retains original .303 calibrations. The fore-end tip is numbered 18. The rifle and stock are numbered A946. The receiver and barrel have lots of proofs and the South Africa mark, a large ‘U’ with a broad-arrow in the middle. Please email if you have any questions. If the timeing wasn't so bad financially this would be the highest priority purchase for me. (hint hint christmas is around the corner, I know how hard it is to get stuff for me.)
