Stock Length

Ok I have a question.

I have a friend that has found she loves hunting. I have had her try several long guns but the stock just seems to be to long. When she tries to shot it just looks and feels awark for her. Is there a way to find out how long a stock should be for a person. I think if I could get her a shorter stock it would fit her better. Or am I looking at this wrong. Any help?

Take her to a gun shop and have her try on a kids rifle. I'm not talking about a cricket, but a regular kids rifle. I know of several women who have used these because of their smaller size.

Have her pick up an AR-15 with a 6 position stock and find out where it is comfortable.

There are several choices for youth model rifles and shotguns. Take her to Gander Mountain and browse the shelf for something that fits.

easy fix with a chop saw if the stocks wood. A little file work, put the butt plate back on, and presto, you have a gun that fits you.

PM me if you want a stock made to fit her.... LOP (length of pull) is measured from the bend in the elbow on the inside to the 2nd joint on the index finger... typical length is around 13.5 inches
