6.8 SPC Question

OK, this might have already been addressed, but if so I must have missed the thread. I know on the AR-15 platform that a 6.8 SPC upper can be switched out in place of the 5.56 upper. My question is, is there any size issue with the magazine well on a standard (5.56) lower, and do the standard 5.56 magazines work? The cartridge brass looks awfully similar until you get to the bullet. Anyone with 6.8 SPC experience willing to sound off?

The mags work but can cause jams due to the follower. The follower is thinner (I think) on the 6.8 mag. Maybe you can do a follower replacement to prevent this issue. You will get 25-28 per 30 round 5.56 mag.

limited trigger time with a 6.8, but the magwell is good to go. most will require dedicated 6.8 magazines, but one of the ideas of the 6.8 was to be able to retrofit existing m16/ar15 rifles.
