I went with a Clark for $65. I'm happy enough with it so far, although I've never pressed a $250 trigger. 3# with over travel adjustment screw.
10/22 Aftermarket Parts

Just a note. If you drop in a new assembly, you should check your trigger return plunger assembly for smooth operation and or friction points on the back of the trigger.

A more important note. If you do anything to your trigger assembly, even just remove and reinstall;
Clear it, clear it, clear it. Cock it. Take the safety off. Smack the stock all around the action, then drop it, butt first, from at least a foot. If you can make it drop the hammer you have a serious problem that needs attention.

I was amazed at how much Appleseed made a bad trigger not as much of a problem. However, the Clark trigger sounds like the right price for a little improvement.

You have obviously never visited rimfirecentral.com

Most of the people there have well over $800 invested in their 10/22's

I stuck with the cheap / easy upgrades: bolt buffer, auto bolt release, extended magazine release, butler folding stock (usually leave the wood stock on, i think it looks nicer), 30 round magazines and a cheap BSA scope.
