AR15 build- Upper and misc. parts needed.

Looking for suggestions on getting parts to complete my AR build.

Ideally, I'd like to get a complete A3 upper (flat top) with a M4 length barrel. By complete I mean the Bolt carrier group (GCG) and charging handle.

I've seen a couple on ar15.com for around $400. Currently holding out to see if there is a better deal to be had. Who knows, maybe I'm being to picky.

Suggestions?

m4 length barrel = 14.5" You need to buy one with a perm pinned/welded flash hider or you can do a 16" barrel with a regular flash hider and no flash hider hassles.

$400 is about the going price for something like that. A friend of mine just picked up something similar for $375 and that was a steal...

Yup, i have the 14.5 with the pined flash hider

Model 1 sales has some excellent prices, and you can customize to your content before ordering. They are not high end by any means, but they do produce a solid product. My wife is very happy with the 24" varmint upper I got from them. I will soon be ordering a .300 fireball ( 300 whisper) upper from them soon. Good customer service as well.

Wait till you have to deal with the douchebags from m1s at the 1500. They stay in their little circle jerk and act all stuck up until your holding cash in hand. Not J&T on the other hand are awesome people to deal with at the 1500.

My personal recommendation would be a Bravo Company Manufacturing (BCM) upper. Currently, they are available at G&R Tactical.

I had no idea they were that way at the 1500! I ordered from them online.

J&T is another excellent source for more cost friendly parts that work well also. ( I almost ordered the varmit upper from there).

I agree 99% with abnk's post, the only part I don't agree with is buying from G&R Tactical. I suggest buying directly from Paul @ Bravo Company or Denny @ Denny's Guns/Global Tactical.
