This was one of my project rifles that I intended to rebarrel - but it shoots good enough I just can't bring myself to do it.

The barrel has been shortened nearly 7", finished length is now 16.75", with a recessed crown.

Drilled and tapped for an XS front sight, and mounted the XS rail and rear sight.

The receiver and action internals have been deburred and polished. The trigger and extractor were replaced with Wild West.

The stainless finish was buffed with Scotchbrite for a dull matte finish, then applied a few coats of pure carnauba wax to protect it further from the elements.

Bedded the forend using FIPG/RTV. Bedded the buttstock to the receiver and lower tang with Devcon 10110.

Provided you do your part, it'll put Winchester 150g PowerPoints with H335 into 1.25" or less at 100 yards with boring regularity.

$500 FTF in NWI, or Indy & Terre Haute areas.

    Interesting trades would be considered.
