![]() ![]() | WTS/WTT Traxxas Tmaxx with lots of extras 2/10/2009: I bought a brand new 2.5 racing motor today that is new from top to bottom with a new carb, pull start, and all. Purs like a lion , it's on it's second break in tank of fuel and will come with a brand new 20% gallon of fuel.Well I recently purchased these off a member here and realized that they aren't for me. I started to get in them and might even get back into them but for now I have to many things going on in my life for another hobby so here is a piece of his ad along with some stuff that I bought for them. The first one is ready to run, and has the 2.5 engine installed, and has several aftermarket mods installed. -8 purple anodized aluminum shocks -8 silver aluminum upper/lower control arms(not installed) -Full 3 piece purple anodized skid plate set -NEW Integy fuel tank guard -NEW traxxas battery box with Orion Recieve pack 1600mah/6.0v -Traxxas TQ3 receiver(controller) -NEW prophet select 12v DC charger, 4-8 cell -NEW Patriot RC glow charger -New Hex Head Screws to replace every screw on the car The other chassis is just a rolling chassis, includes full gearbox/diffs, 1 servo, engine mount, body/suspension mounts. The only thing it needs to be truly a "rolling chassis," is one tire. I have the tire foam for it though. Extra parts for it include: -Tmaxx 3.3 battery and receiver boxes -Extra glow plug in package -6 stock shocks -7 red springs -2 silver 2.5 heads -traxxas 2.5 engine with carb(carb and engine need rebuilt) -traxxas 3.3 with carb and head(engine needs rebuilt, head has 2 broken fins -Traxxas EZ start controller and module(controller needs 6 cell battery, and module needs a one way bearing) - 2 RPM black skidplates -4 extra(stock)upper/lower control arms -2 extra chassis braces(stock) -ziploc bag full of extra gears. I have done some reading on them and have cleaned the parts up and was going to get them coated to look better and be even more durable. The first thing that most people upgrade are the steering servos as they are weak and don't want to turn the wheels when sitting still. So I purchased some brand new servos that are made of metal gears and are over double the torque. These are some serious fun if you put some time into them and can be modded into anything you can dream up. They have realistic bodies that you can purchase on Ebay or any other Hobby shop and have everything from upgraded tires and wheels to superchargers and turbos. I believe that the carb needs rebuilt or replaced because it doesn't seem to be getting fuel. Hobbytown USA (Greenwood, IN Hobby shop) said they would check it out for free and get it running (by adjusting the carb and such) the motor isn't the problem because it has good compression so the only thing left is the carb or bad fuel. They are really cheap to have fun with and are the coolest thing since Roman Noodles. Here are some pics of what will be coming with it. If you want the box and extra tools (allen wrenches, crescent wrenches, and some other screw drivers) to carry all the items in it can be had for an extra $50 (The box alone is going for $40 on Ebay) There will also be 1 1/2 qts of nitro fuel(some 10%, some 20%...not mixed), and a 4 piece set of anodized hex drivers (for RC stuff) included if deal is right. I also added 4 LED's to the headlights that are powered by a 9volt. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| INGO Bishop of Bacon ![]() | As was indicated in your previous thread, WTS items REQUIRE an asking price. This is not an option. Please add one or your thread will be deleted.

![]() ![]() | Thought it was in there, an indication would have been nice instead of an action... Simple mistake, I've listed all my other ads per "criteria" but listed it on several sites and simply forgot to list the price. Either way $550 is my starting point for what is listed. Willing to negotiate on price, just send me an offer. But I wouldn't mind trading either. Last edited by Rlee; 02-10-2009 at 23:26. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have one of the old original Traxxas T-Max that's still running strong, I've kept it completely box-stock except for the airfilter so it's not competitive but it's still fun as hell to run around our backyard track. These things are alot of fun folks, yes they are a bit pricey for "toys", but they are seriously addictive, my daughter & myself really enjoy all of ours, we've aquired a bunch of different types/kinds/brands & I still think that the Traxxas T-Maxx is still one of the best pan-chassis monster trucks on the market. Anyway this appears to be a pretty good deal on what looks to be a pretty complete "starter package" (just ask that Rlee include the toolbox & tools in the price as part of the package) and then you will have everything you need to get started tearing around the track. I'd take it myself, but like I said I already have a bunch of these things. |

![]() ![]() | Thanks guys... I've really cleaned them up since I got them, and done some well past due maintenance. I've completely tore down the spare chassis and sprayed it with a truck bed liner (like a Rhino liner), replaced and cleaned all the screws, cleaned all the parts before replacing them, rebuilt the trans and replaced the reverse gear, took diffs apart and inspected them and replaced the rear diff due to broken ring gear screws, greased up and put back together and then took apart another one and installed the spool. Fixed a suspension issue the rear had, cleaned the motor mount up and re-routed the exhaust to exit through the chassis and installed new zip ties on all the fuel lines (which were recently purchased) and on the exhaust. This has all the "necessary" upgrades such as the fail safe which is a safe guard in the event that you did lose signal between the transmitter (remote control) and the receiver (truck) then the brake applys itself to bring the truck to a stop. It has a roll cage that has a lifetime ( I believe its a lifetime, maybe just a year) against breaking of the welds and is also powdercoated Candy apple red. All this stuff and plus much more not to mention the new motor and carb. But honestly, it's pretty cheap for as much fun as you can have and especially being that real cars are much more exspensive and require much more skill to work on. I'll add some pics here soon to give a better idea of what it looks like now. I plan on getting the alum. A-Arms powdercoated and such. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Rlee, Yup that's how I got into them, I could no longer afford to build & race and maintain the 1:1 scale cars anymore, but these 1:10th & 1:8th scale nitromethane RC's scratched the itch that I had to tinker with engines and suspensions and stuff along with that whole competitive racing itch thing ya know? Anyway I hope you have good luck on finding an INGO'er who'll give your T-Max a good home, but I am afraid that this economic collapse coupled with Obama/dem congress has us INGO folks clinching our wallets, only opening them to buy EBR's and ammo and such. |
