![]() | My experience with thegunsource.com Made an order with thegunsource.com (also know as Tgscom, Inc.) on 10/14 for one Mec-Gar mag, one Hogue grip, and one bottle of Guntite. Total came to about $54. Got the shipping notice email on 10/21. They used US Mail, gave me no tracking info on their order status page, which just said "Order shipped/Check email" up till now... Never got my package so called them today. They said the package was *delivered* on the 22nd. Gave me a big long number (but told me they just used plain US Mail basic service, guess it was probably First Class Mail so not sure if it was trackable), and told me to call USPS and file a claim. Called, got a claim confirmation number over the phone. The USPS rep lady said it was not insured, they wouldn't reimburse me a thing, I'd get a call from USPS telling me what they could/might find out, and I'd have to talk to my vendor for any compensation/replacement/etc... I'll post back what I end up with, but so far, my faith in the online store vaporized about 50%. Too bad I'd placed another order before this one with them. That one was for an Advantage Arms 22 conversion kit plus an extra mag, for my G23. The order amount was over $284. The AA kit is perpetually on back order as everywhere. I'll have to keep a closer eye on this. Maybe ask them for some other shipping method when they do get one for me... ![]()

![]() | Uhh, now I just wanna embed a 180gr lead ball in my head...(kidding, of course. But do feel that way...) I'll see if I can cancel that 22 kit order. For the one shipped, and lost in the universe, if they tell me it's out of their hands (hope not), I guess BBB is my last resort...

![]() | FWIW, In post mail / express mail transactions, the shipper is responsible for the insurance and would have to file the claim with the shipping vendor. Unless of course there is something in the fine print. Contact the Attorney Generals office and they can give you advice on that. Sometimes they are willing to draft a letter to the vendor on your behalf. Something similar happened to me once and the letter was all it took to resolve it. |

![]() | I ordered magazines in Clear plastic from thegunsource.com - twice. Both orders, they shipped Black. I forgave them the first time and entered the second order. I reminded them I wanted clear when they confirmed the order. They shipped Black again. I told them they shipped the wrong parts & requested a prepaid return label. The told me they shipped the right parts so if I wanted to return the item, I'd pay a 15% restock fee and I'd pay return shipping and reship charges. (Thats more than the magazine cost.) Shop thegunsource.com for blind shipping clerks and arrogant sales support. |

![]() | Well, here's an update to my shopping experience with TGS.com. I went to the BBB website, and after some search and redirecting, I posted a complaint on BBB of Wisconsin (that's where their HQ is at). After so many months, they refunded my money last month for my first order that they say they shipped, but I never received, and canceled my second order that I'd been asking them to cancel forever. I'll go close the BBB complaint now. So anyone still find themselves can't get anywhere with TGS' customer service, BBB maybe the right route...
