That is a little too long to quote into a signature block but it sure is tempting!

For the prices that are too high - ignore 'em. For the de-facto-flea-market-few where three or four people touch 50% of the firearms that go through the exchange... Fenway may be working on something?

glockdog is on a distinguished road
Gunbroker's costs to advertise is unbeatable and as the guy said "don't buy it if it is too expensive" . Any item is worth only what someone will give. I've found Gunbroker to be a great outlet.

IF you want real world gun prices check out Auction Arms.com the prices there are alot better than Gunbrocker most of the time, I have bought some guns from Gunbrocker in the past that were a good deal, you just have to look around and the main thing is if it iis priced to high just dont by it, No laws have changed yet so there is no reason for the price increase.

It's just like ebay. Some things are outrageously high and somethings are surprising low. The auction sites are a lot about timing, but you can usually find a good deal if the site is flooded with a particular firearm at a given time.

I hope that it's not something that will effect those of us that like to trade a lot. I think the post count to use the classifieds should be raised to 50 or higher. I use the classifieds a lot but also read, learn, post in the other areas as well.

Well, I sell there.

First thing I ever sold was a Gold Cup box from the '60s. Original paperwork and all. Someone told me to start it at $75. It thought he was crazy, but I was like, "OK."

Damn thing went for over $200. No gun. Just box and papers.

I do regular business there now, and if folks want to pay outrageous prices, hey, I usually start pretty low and let the system work.

I have bought several guns off of gunbroker. I was searching for a particular make and model and when one came up I would bid up to what I thought was a fair price for the gun. Just like any auction, you can't let your competitive spirit drive the bidding.

This is also good because I have seen guns here that were bought from other members and sometimes (not pointing fingers), the same gun ends up back up for sale for more than was paid the first time it was posted. It seems that some people see a good deal as a way to make a buck, but most see the classifieds as a way to get something that they want and put some cash or other wanted items in the hands of the other member.

Personally speaking I have tried to do a service to my fellow INGO members and offer them first shot at anything I have to sell at prices below those I list on Gunbroker and am now told I have to pay $360 a year for that "privilege”. Being a very small FFL dealer specializing in transfers I do not sell enough to warrant that kind of “advertising cost” while other non licensed individual are continually holding so called group buys on INGO and raking in the bucks with no licenses and zero overhead costs.

Ninety percent of my customers are from Gunbroker so that site must be offering people some value for their money or they wouldn’t keep buying there. I can make another ten dollars on a LPK by selling on Gunbroker vs. selling locally to INGO members so why do I want to pay thirty dollars a month for that privilege? Maybe the storefront dealers sell enough to cover this cost but not us little guys. The way I see it no longer listing on the classified page INGO members will be paying more and I will be making more.

As people try to explain to the members crying about high prices on Gunbroker.com or the INGO Classified Section, you don’t have to buy it if you don’t like the price. If people are abusing the INGO site by constantly reselling guns at a profit they are running a business without a business license and are not collecting IN sales tax. If they are selling guns on a regular basis they are probably also putting themselves in a precarious situation with the BATF by conducting a gun selling business without having a FFL.
