Some time back, I went looking for some "food" for my brand new Taurus "Judge".
I found a place called Paraklese Technologies on GunBrokers, and they are an INDIANA company that manufactures custom ammunition.
They cater mostly to LE, but do have a civilian product line.
I purchased what they call "0000" Buckshot in .410ga. This is a 2-1/2" round that carries 3-pellets of .375 caliber (75gr) in EACH round.
My first test of this ammo at the range proved interesting indeed.
I shot 3- 5 shot groups, from a distance of 21' or 7 yards. I got consistent 6" groups of 3 with each round fired from a 4" barrel.
I've also tried their "00" buck 12ga., and it is equally amazing to me. It carries 15 pellets per round, and their 20ga. "00" Buck is a 2-3/4" shell carrying 8 pellets.
Just yesterday I received a new product line from them. They now also manufacture .45 long colt in a 185gr jacketed hollow point. This round looks like it will put a SERIOUS hurt on a deer in a few more months!
