Up for sale I have a French Chassepot bayonet.
I'll admit, I don't know much about these. I bought this one years ago at an estate sale, thinking it was a neat piece of history (which it is).
This one has some corrosion near the end of the blade. There is also an inscription on the blade with a date of 1871. I'm not sure how to rate the condition, I'll let the pictures do that for you.
The numbers do match on the bayonet and the scabbard. The blade is 22 1/2 inches long, thus making this a sword bayonet.

This will be F2F in Indy
PM any questions you may have, and I will try my best to answer them.
    As always thanks for looking.

    Prices is $85
