Flash: Senate bailout vote scheduled today

Michelle Malkin » Flash: Senate bailout vote scheduled tomorrow at approx. 9pm Eastern; shamnesty tactics all over again

I have already contacted Bayh and Lugar. Call today and stop this madness.

Senator,
I urge you to vote no today on the proposed bailout. Attaching this to another piece of legislation is just wrong. Government needs to quit being the enabler of bad behavior. I liken this to a Mom who loves her child, but never cuts the strings to allow him/her to stand on their own two feet. Always there with money to help any problem. The child never has to learn responsibility because Mom will always take care of it.
Government needs to say to these companies "succeed or fail on your own". Those of us who limit our risk should not be punished because government wants to reward (with my tax dollars) those who didn't. I like the views of Congressman Mike Pence. Lets have a private sector fix for this. Eliminating capital gains taxes would infuse the economy with much needed funds both domestic and foreign. Again I urge you to Vote no on this, we cannot afford to get this wrong. We have already spent too much.
