Michelle Malkin What the hell is the “Office of the President-Elect?” And why is it still attacking McCain?

Stephanopoulos signed letters back in 1992 from the ‘Office of the President-elect.’ That said, I agree that ‘change.gov’ and all of that is ostentatious. Let Obama have his fun now. Come January, the buck stops with him, and no amount of ‘branding’ or voting ‘present’ will save him.”

Okay, it’s one thing to take your campaign website, transfer it to a dot-gov domain, and invent an “Office of the President-Elect” out of whole cloth.
But now we’ve got Sen. Obama standing in front of a podium, in front of the world, for his first transitional press conference with an official-looking sign that reads “Office of the President-Elect.” Is that the official seal of the U.S. on the sign? Do they have authority to use it? What other make-believe offices are they going to invent between now and Inauguration Day? I can’t ever recall in my lifetime any mention of such an office. Can you?

Did everyone see how he gloated at the crowd after campaign speeches, taking it all in, Barak Hussein Obama was getting DRUNK on the reaction of the crowds. Much like movie stars do when they parade down the red carpet at hollywood events " oh my I must be so great they can hardly contain themselves"

Does anyone remember the seal he had on his podium earlier in the campaigning? It was made to look similar to the real Presidential Seal. Aparently he got enough complaints that he took it down.
I hope he doesn't get the idea that he will be able to actually change the OFFICIAL PRESIDENTIAL SEAL once in office. "Measuring the drapes" is one thing. Changing the official seal will not be tolerated!

I dont know, Mussolini had a better chin. Looked more powerful.

I have a feeling you are right. It was a campaign of half truths and answers with no hard backups to them (I have a plan, this is what it will do, but I cant tell you how I am going to do it). Thank goodness Obama doesnt have a "bloodthirsty" edge to him, or he would be closer to Amin (Zaire) than Musso.

The office of the president elect is just more fuel for his ego. When will he figure out that he is just being used by his own party. They will use him to push their agenda, and when it fails he will be the one to take the fall. Then again for someone to say that Americans were arrogant he might want to look in a mirror, he is more arrogant than most.

I don't even know if he has resigned his Senate seat yet. If not, then as far as I am concerned, he is still Senator Obama. If he has, then he is simply: Mr. Obama - at least until Jan. 20.
He may be "the President elect", but he is not the title: "President Elect".
Senator or Mr. PERIOD.
