![]() | Example of reason to bear arms Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com This is a sad occurrence that illustrates how important, in this time of ecomomic stress, that we retain our 2A rights. We may sometime be required to protect ourselves from "good" people turned "bad" as well as the portion who would be "bad" irregardless of the state of the economy. stay safe

![]() ![]() ![]() | 30 YEARS!!!! MURDERS DONT EVEN GET THAT. I dont agree with robbing banks, but hell what have the banks and government been doing to the middle class for years? With all the bail outs for the big corps and CEOs, and everything to help lower class ( walfare , ect. ) . Whats a normal guy to do? It sucks that this man was put in this situation, and just trying to provide for his family. YES HE SHOULD BE PUNISHED, BUT NOT TO THAT EXTENT. just my 2 cents |

+1, My thoughts exactly. Taking other people's loved ones as hostages makes you a criminal, regardless of the circumstances under which you do so. I know we all say we'd do anything for our families, and there isn't a doubt in my mind that most people would. But when you're willing to take the lives of other innocent people, you need to re-think your game plan.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Notice they say first that he "may have spent up to a year planning" the crime, then they talk about how he "suddenly" turned to crime. Since when is a year "suddenly." You see a lot of cases of people who commit some truly heinous crimes and all their neighbors talking about what a "nice man" he was before the news came out. However, oftentimes the clues are there; it's just that nobody recognizes them. Example case of a serial murderer that everyone thought was a "nice man" who was always willing to take in the stray cats that people brought to him and give them a home. And people talked about how good he was at taking care of and training those cats because nobody ever saw them wandering the neighborhood again. Of course not. He wasn't "training" them. He was torturing and killing them. But "ordinary man snaps and turns to crime" plays better in the news than "long history of problems goes unnoticed before the 'big crime.'" |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well one could argue that since banks are insured by the fdic, a bank robber is stealing from the federal government. And being as taxes are paid at the point of a gun, they are theives as well. And to steal from a theif is a thousand year pardon. |
