Constitutional Amendment Banning Abortion

Would you support a Constitutional Amendment banning abortion except to save the mother's life or in cases of incest or rape?

It strikes me that if we are pro-gun we need to really focus on uniting all gun owners and bringing them here, not dividing ourselves. I'd be happy to walk in a Pro-Gun rally next to a member of the Pink Pistols gay rights pro-gun group. I'd be happy to walk in a Pro-Gun rally next to a pro-abortion gun rights supporter. I'd be happy to walk in a Pro-Gun rally next to hispanic (or Canadian) legal immigrants who support our gun rights. I'd be happy to walk . . .

You get my point? We need to bring all the Pro-Gun people together here on INGO not just the white Christian moral minority GOP/Libertarians.

No, I'd prefer not to talk about Abortions, or Gay bashing, or whatever. UNLESS Fenway wants to start a new sub-forum called OFF TOPIC POLITICS and keep it apart from 2ND AMENDMENT POLITICS but I don't support abortion. I abhor it. I do not support it even in those 3 to 5% of the cases where there is rape/incest or the life of a mother issue. So to Constitutionally protect those things is against my faith.

Clearly it is a forum. You have the right to post it. I simply pointed out, as I have done a few times before, that we here at INGO often present an image that is very monolithic and if you don't fit into the specific type then you really don't belong here. Your thread could easily add to that monolithic stereotype of what INGO is. White, conservative, intolerant gun owners. I simply feel we need to be more than that.

There are actually liberal gun owners out there, but I fear that many are afraid to speak up on these forums because of our conservative leanings. This place is also mildly hostile/intolerant to gays, Muslims, Democrats yet members of all 3 groups are also gun owners.

While I personally fit much of the gun owner/INGO stereotype, I don't see any reason to continue to chase away others who may be 'different' from me in some way.

And this is exactly my point. Which is exactly why I'm attempting to do...point out our intolerance and open some eyes and minds.

I was surprised by the poll results. I had expected larger tilt to the religious. Perhaps this thread actually demonstrates how successful INGO is at bringing pro-gun individuals together with different opinions on other issues.

Personally, I often get confused by the two party system... it is simply too limiting. Neither party ends up actually being what the extremists say they are.

republican = conservative.
conservative = individual freedom.
individual freedom = don't regulate personal choice.
don't regulate personal choice = pro choice.
THEREFORE republican = pro choice

I advocate for INGO members to run State government. Imagine how fast we could get things done, find out information, and make decisions by internet vote.

I totally agree. Topics such as these are extremely controversial and serves only to divide groups ... not unite them.
